The digital media conference “Interaction”, organized in Istanbul from 25th-27th of November by PIFMC, the Palestine International Forum for Media and Communication, has concluded with great interest from the media.

The “Interaction” conference for Palestine has concluded its activities with the participation of around 200 media journalists and personnel interested in digital media, in addition to another 50 media activists via live broadcasts from Gaza Strip in Palestine.

After the opening remarks by PIFMC director-general Mr. Hisham Saleh, a panel discussion was conducted for two hours, which was entitled as “Policies of Digital Platforms in Palestine“. It was moderated by Mrs. Amani Al-Sinwar, an international relations researcher and lecturer at Sabahuddin Zaim University in Istanbul; during which, speakers discussed the most important and digital policies, the impact of social networks on the Palestinian cause and how to mobilize the support for Palestine throughout the world.

Then, the first day included other four separate workshops. And finally, the day ended with an interactive artistic night, with a number of comic and stand-up comedy performances by several Palestinian prominent youth artists, including Samer Issa, Moataz Nawas, Yazen Nusseiba, and Imad Zeidan.

In the second day, another four workshops took place, and the day ended with an TED-like short talks, where several activists and media public figures shared their experiences with the floor.

The workshops are:

  1. “Palestine’s International Digital Outreach”, delivered by Mr. Saeed Abu Mualla.
  2. Developing Digital Content“, delivered by Mrs. Ghadir Abu Snaina.
  3. Digital Media Campaigns” delivered by Mr. Iyad Al-Rifai.
  4. Verification and Reassurance” delivered by Mr. Abdullah Al-Rasheed.
  5. Digital Lobbying” delivered by Mr. Hossam Shaker.
  6. E-Marketing on Digital Platforms” delivered by Mr. Khalil Amro.
  7. Building Influential Digital Media Network” delivered by Mr. Bassam Shehadat.
  8. Mastering Digital Journalism” delivered by Mr. Mohamad Al-Najjar.

The participants expressed great interest in the content presented during the forum and the clear interaction during seminars and specialized workshops, praising the quality of the organization and the level of its presentation by lecturers in various media fields.

Finally, in the last day, the third day, four specialized training sessions took place, where they took some of the titles mentioned above, but with more deepen concentration and elaboration. The four workshops were entitled as follows; “Keys to Influence and Methods of Pressure in the Digital Space“, “Marketing and Publishing in Digital Platforms“, “Building the Network of Influential Relationships in Digital Media“, and “Effective Digital Campaigns and Measuring Their Impact”.
